Erdna é um rapaz belo e inteligente, uma noite andando pelas ruas escura de São Paulo ,Brasil . Foi atacado por um ser das trevas que viu em Erdna um ser perfeito para carregar essa maldição que mudaria sua vida pra sempre ,trazendo lhe sofrimento e tristeza por não poder ver a luz do sol e sentir seu calor . Erdna no decorrer dos tempos perdeu todos a sua volta, incluído sua amada Josefa. E com isso procura incessantemente por uma resposta e uma cura para não mais sofrer . Erdna se alimenta de sangue de criminosos , bandidos e maníacos. Seu maior defeito é não suportar injustiças agindo cruelmente contra pessoas que agem de forma violenta e criminosas sem lhe dá pelo menos uma chance para o perdão. Sendo assim ele é intolerant
