Vampire Description

No one in the city knew the truth.

They whispered explanations — a flare of gang violence, a house fire, just another tragedy.
But that night, behind doors bolted and alarms blinking in the dark, Elowen and the woman she loved discovered that the old legends wore skin like masks — and grinned with mouths full of knives.

They came in silence.
Past reinforced locks. Through cautious routines. Around every measure meant to keep nightmares out.
Nothing stopped them.

Elowen stood frozen as the light drained from her lover’s eyes, stolen by creatures who devoured not just blood, but fear — savoring every drop of it.
And when they turned to her… she did not scream.
Did not beg.
Did not give them a show.

So they spared her.
Left her breathing. Hollow.
Alive — or something close.

She woke at dawn on a floor sticky with blood, her skin cold, her senses burning, her chest a shattered thing trying to beat.
The city moved on.
Pretended.
Forgot.

She did not.

What drives her is not justice.
It is something older. Deeper.
A vow carved in silence and sealed with blood:

To hunt the hunters.
One by one.
